Unable to add that Sign In Screen Image

I am unable to add that sign-in screen image all of a sudden when I set up new accounts.

How do I fix that?

Thanks.

    Hi there,

"Sign-in screen image"? I'm not exactly sure what you are referring to. Could you please describe when you see it, or better yet take a screenshot of it?

    Thanks

Yes. Normally when I go through the process of setting up a new login, there will sort of be a snap shot clipped on to the upper right of the login window. The last few logins I have set up did not have the image posted in that upper right corner. How do I fix? Please see below:

  • bwoodruff......sorry, but I am having trouble getting my screen shot to display in my comment above. Perhaps there will still be enough information in my reply to be able to "picture" what I am talking about. Thanks!

If you have a few and seeing as how you posted in the Mac section its fairly simple <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

You can take a entire page screen shot if you wish by pressing command+shift+4+spacebar, then once the screenshot is on your desktop

open 1Password go into edit mode for the entry missing the screen grab.

Drag the picture you took previously into the upper right hand corner of the entry.

You will see a green "+" appear once it does simply release the picture and your all done.

If you want a smaller section i.e. just a logo etc use command+shift+4 which uses the cross hair method simply click and drag the mouse/trackpad over the area of the desired picture then repeat as above to add it to 1Password.

These 2 methods are the easiest you can elect to have 1Password grab all of them again but I usually just use my above method to add those few here and there that are missing.

If however you desire to have it grab them all open the 1P preferences and click on the logins tab, there should be a button labeled download missing previews simply click that.

ps I am running the MAS version of 1P so my preferences may be a little different than yours please look for the button accordingly.

Thanks! Your solution worked pretty well. I did notice though, on some of the previews, that they were shrunken down and miniature, so I have to figure out why that is.

By default, 1Password grabs the images from the websites themselves. Some sites only provide the smaller "favicon" images while others provide the larger "apple-touch-icon" images. Are you having trouble with images you added yourself or is 1Password possibly just downloading the smaller favicon because the site doesn't provide the larger apple-touch-icon image? The images you add yourself are custom, so it is up to you what size they are. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
