The availability of Chrome 16 as a stable (non-Beta) release requires an update to our extension for Chrome, as the old extension will no longer work. Starting with 1.0.9.244, 1Password includes a new extension for Chrome that's designed to work with Chrome 16. As a result, 1Password also includes support for Safari 5.1 and later versions.

For installation instructions, please see How do I install the 1Password extensions for Chrome and Safari? in the FAQ section of the 1Password for Windows user's guide.

Note: If you're new to 1Password, please take a few minutes to read the Introduction, Getting Started, and Tutorials sections of the user's guide. They're short, and they'll give you the information you need to get up to speed quickly. As you use 1Password for Windows, we believe you'll find the FAQ section to be a useful resource, too.

If you have any problems with the new extensions—a red "badge" over the 1Password button or the "helper not connected" message, in particular—please see Why aren't the new browser extensions working? in the FAQ section of the user's guide for tips.
