1password icon missing in Firefox

I am new to this forum and using 1password. I have just downloaded and am trying to set up 1p. Cannot find the icon in Firefox to add it to the toolbar. Also, 1p is not automatically showing up when i log into Am using Firefox 8.0, windows vista, 32-bit. I am not that knowledgeable about software etc. I have looked at the tutorial/ instructions but don't see anything helpful there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

on the adds on manager for firefox i get the following msg;



1Password incompatible with firefox 8.01



1Password 1.0.8.222 disabled



please advise

That's a very old version of 1Password. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' /> It's not surprising that it might not work correctly with a version of Firefox that wasn't available when 1Password 1.0.8.222 was released.



Please quit all web browsers, launch 1Password for Windows, choose [b]Help[/b] > [b]Check for New Version[/b], and follow the instructions to download and install the current version.



For your convenience, you may also want to consider enabling the option to check for new versions automatically, which you can do on the Updates tab of 1Password preferences.

.........i've updated 1P to 1.09.250



+ FF to 9.0



..........but still do not see the 1P icon





....any thoughts

Is Firefox enabled here?



[i]File > Preferences (Ctrl+P) > Browsers[/i]



If yes, have you followed these additional steps?

that was 1 of my problems,.........it had somehow gotten unchecked.



+ that is why the 1P icon did not appear in FFcustomize toolbar icon selection.



........all ok now
