Feature request

Hello,

Not sure if this is the right forum for feature requests. But it would be nice to be able to track which machines 1Password is installed on. I've not really thought about what would be done with this info, but seeing the machine names of the computers it's installed on would be a start I guess.

    It is, indeed, Ollie. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

As 1Password stores its data locally, I'm not sure how each machine would "know about" the other machines on which 1Password is installed. (Even if you're using Dropbox to sync your data among multiple computers and devices, each desktop installation of 1Password is ignorant of anything beyond the local storage location of its own data.)

My recommendation is to create a Secure Note in 1Password that contains the names or locations of any computers on which it's installed, if that information might be of use to you.)

    Thanks for using 1Password!

I was thinking, and this would only work for Dropbox users, of someway embedding that information into the password file. That is then synced with each computer it's installed on via Dropbox so would be kept up to date.
  • Thanks for the suggestion, Ollie.
