1.0.9.259 won't update, uninstall, or install chrome extension

I installed 1password 1.0.9.259 on my laptop and dektop, both running windows 7 64-bit and using the chrome browser extension.

The desktop is working fine but the chrome browser extension was not working on the laptop (Every time i tried to enter the master password, it failed to unlock).

I uninstalled and reinstalled the browser extension but still not working.

I got a message that i need to update 1password but when I try to do so the installer freezes and I have to go into task manager to close it.

Then I tried just uninstalling 1password completely -- the uninstaller freezes, have to shut it down in task manager.

now I tried reinstalling the chrome extension from within 1password again and now that freezes and won't install.

oddly when i launch the 1password app itself, it opens and unlocks and my data is there.

any advice?

I'm guessing the 1Password Helper is not responding. Please bring up the Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) and then end the process named Agile1pAgent.exe

Now download our latest version here: https://agilebits.co...n/release_notes

Last but not least, have you followed the steps in these documents?
• Turns out, restarting solved the issues, I was able to uninstall and reinstall, and now the browser extension is working.
