1password asks for entire login password every time

Every time I open 1password I have to enter the entire password. I thought the 4 digit code would replace the password on android. The full password is difficult with upper, lower case and special characters. Seems like I am missing something.

Thanks for your help.

First of all, thank you for your feedback and welcome to the Forum !

If you'd like to lock 1Password Reader with a 4 digits PIN, please goto Menu-> Settings ->Application Protection and select "Lock with PIN" option. Once you've done that, you will be able to use PIN number every time the application is locked (goes out of scope, for example when you click Home button or any other application goes to the front).

Please notice that Master Password is still absolutely required in order to Login to the application and decrypt your secure data. Once authenticated, you will be able to lock 1Password with PIN.

In order words : Master Password is for Login and PIN number is simply for unlocking the application.

Please let me know if you'd like to get more information on that.

    Best regards,

you can take a look at my post in a relevant thread on the issue.

    TL;DR version:

    - make an option of using PIN only for both logging in and app unlocking

    - prevent app from being kicked out of ram by android os if that is the case, which I doubt, since other apps don't get kicked under similar circumstances
