1Pass extension is extremely slow in IE9

  • Great! Thanks for letting us know. That implies that the specifics of your connection to the Internet are slowing down the automatic check for updates.

If you can't modify the former, you may need to leave the latter disabled (but don't forget to check for updates as often as it's convenient).

It's not true. I do have extension delays up to 10-12 secons, but I do have 20 Mbps Internet connections with 100ms ping to agilebits.com. Reason is not in Internet connection. When exetension delay will be greater than 1 sec, you will clearly see that extension still slowing down IE (even when new version check is turned off).

The number IE is reporting is the *average* start-up time. in other words: even when our extension would suddenly launch a whole lot faster, that number IE is reporting will not go down. You would have to reset everything.

I believe it is true, EIKA.

I base that belief on atlauren's post, to which I was replying. It seems to provide very clear evidence, and Stefan's follow-up provides the explanation.

Accusing each other of lying diminishes the value of the forum as a resource for our fellow 1Password users. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />
