Bundle discount for 1Password for Windows + MAS
I am wondering whether the bundle discount that applies to purchasing 1Password For Windows and Mac via the website also applies to purchasing 1Password for Mac through the Mac Apple Store (MAS) + 1Password for Windows on the website.
In the last few days I have realised the importance of an accessible and secure password manager, and want to install 1Password on my personal Macbook, work Windows laptop and iPhone.
From my reading of the blog and various forum posts, I understand that buying 1Password for Mac through the website will not allow upgrade to version 4. This means a new purchaser like me should buy through the MAS. However, I am also keen to take advantage of the bundle discount for Windows+Mac. Is there some sort of coupon or similar validation process for customers who purchase on the MAS, that allows them to receive bundle discount when buying the Windows version rather than paying full price twice?
Thanks!

Welcome to the forum, divingfalcon!
I hope you won't mind that I've moved your question to the "1Password (Mac App Store)" forum, where it'll be seen by the folks who have knowledge of that program and of the purchasing options available.
(I can assure you that we'll take care of customers like you, but I don't know the details.)Flag 0 -
hi. i just purchased 1PW for Mac from the app store about a week ago (for $50). citing several discounts that i came across (both in the past & currently on MAS & through ur website), i asked if i might receive a discount of $25. they decided to issue a full refund, and i presume (?) that that entails closing down of my acct. while i appreciated their refund, i'm hoping not to start from scratch, if possible.
could someone reach out to me via email and assist pls? i am eager to get fully setup with my 1PW for Mac - and - am also interested in purchasing a Windows version. as a result, would love to hear of anything that might be arranged in terms of a bundle as well. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Welcome to the forums, folks!
tozlink, I've sent you a DM as well. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
tgilfix, I've replied to the email you sent. That will be a better avenue for support. If you don't mind, let's stick to that so we're not duplicating our efforts via email and the forums. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

After a brief trial, I just purchased both the iOS and Mac versions of 1Password from the Mac app store - which I'm beginning to use now. However, I also have a Windows machine that I would love to be able to sync up (so I can begin to phase out other password managers I've used). Do you offer any kind of multi platform discount so that I can add Windows to my collection?
Thanks,

Hi, Just bought 1password from Mas and the 1password pro for iphone and ipad, love it so far. But i also use a windows 7 computer at work.
So now i have the same question as the others in this thread. Is there a discount?Flag 0 -
Welcome to the forums, Jim! If you do decide to purchase a Mac or Window license, now is a great time to do so. All of our software is on sale for 40% OFF right now!
https://agilebits.com/store
This is a larger discount than any bundle deal provides and it cannot be combined with further discounts. If you purchase 1Password for Windows now, you will be getting one of the best prices for which we have ever made it available.
If the 2011 Holiday Sale is over by the time you read this, please let me know. I'd be happy to provide further assistance!

Tony, I sent you a PM with further details.
Catcher, I'm curious why you would have two licenses. 1Password for Mac is licensed per user, so you only need one license for yourself. You can use your single license on as many Macs as you can possibly afford as long as you are the only user. According to our records, you only have one license, though, so that is good. You originally purchased a 1Password 2 license and then later upgraded that one license to 1Password 3. If you are looking for upgrade pricing for the Windows version, you can use your existing license key to purchase 1Password for Windows at a discounted price. Just click the Upgrade license button and enter your license key on our store page:

The information I am sending to folks via PM is for those who have only purchased 1Password from the Mac App Store and have no license key from our own system to enter into that box.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help. Feel free to reply here or via PM.

Welcome to the forums, Craven! Thanks for asking about this.
In your case, you will want to purchase 1Password from the Mac App Store, 1Password Pro from the iTunes App Store, and 1Password for Windows from our own online store.
Since Apple does not allow bundle discounts in the App Stores, we provide the discount in our own store in cases like this.
I have sent you a PM with details of the discount for purchasing 1Password for Windows when you also purchase 1Password from the Mac App Store.
Thanks for using 1Password!Flag 0 -
Khad:
I have been using the trial 1Password for Mac at home and for windows at work. I am getting ready to buy for both platforms. But I am not sure where to buy the mac software from- MAS or from your website. I understand that the MAS will allow a free upgrade to 1Password 4. But the bundle discount from your website is a lot better. Please advise which would be the best route. Also, is there a way to get a discount through the Mac AppStore? Thanks for the great clutter free software!Flag 0 -
Welcome to the forums, zoomike! I will send you a PM with details on getting a discount on 1Password for Windows when purchasing the Mac version from the MAS. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />Flag 0

I'm really new here and I was hoping to get some help. I bought the Mac AppStore Version without looking too closely at the price, which i'm fine with the price, though, so far I do not see a registration code for it, and it appears you guys will be charging me for a Windows version for my PC as well? If this is the case then that is really very sad because 49.99 for an APP that you can't share with your Windows Machine as well without spending another 30$ is very tough.
Can I get some guidance on this, am I just not seeing the Request Registration Key or something?Flag 0 -
Welcome to the forums, William! I moved your post to this thread since it sounds like you are just looking for a discount on a 1Password for Windows license after purchasing 1Password from the Mac App Store.
All apps purchased from the Mac App Store are authenticated via your Apple ID, so there is no license key associated with any apps in the Mac App Store. This is just like the iTunes App Store for iPhones and iPads.
I'll send you a DM with a discount code you can use in our store to purchase a Windows license.
I should also reiterate that all Mac App Store purchases of 1Password come with a free upgrade to 1Password 4 when it is available. That would normally be a $34.99 upgrade cost.Flag 0
